The main goal of this assignment was to prepare a livestock breeding strategy for a Central Asian country. Furthermore, the project included the identification of appropriate breeds and breed combinations suited for different agro-regions and production environments of the country and the development of a pool of breeding options  as well as appropriate breeding methods and technologies which can be adopted given the country’ landscape.
